Abbey Falls : Known as the 'pride of Coorg', this waterfall showcases water cascading down from a height of 70 feet, providing a spectacular view. The walk to the falls from the main entrance has around 200 steps downwards and goes through exotic plantations of coffee, cardamom, pepper and other spices.
Dubare Elephant Camp : The camp offers a unique experience to visitors, allowing them to live in coexistence with trained elephants on-site. The Dubare Elephant Camp is an ideal destination to learn about elephants, and see a large number of Asiatic elephants peacefully enjoying themselves in their natural habitat. Naturalists and mahouts, trained in the art of handling these majestic creatures are present throughout the camp, offering various insights to visitors. Apart from the elephants, one can also spot a variety of birds such as peacocks, partridges, kingfishers, and woodpeckers. The area is also home to other wildlife like - the spotted deer, tigers, wild dogs and bears, making this location ideal for families and nature lovers.
The Golden Temple or the Namdroling Monastery : Popularly known as the 'Golden Temple', the Namdroling Monastery boasts some of the best examples of Tibetan architecture and artwork, with the elaborately decorated tower and ornate outer walls, each intricately adorned with gorgeous murals. Rich in architecture, history and culture - this structure was built from bamboo that was donated by the Indian Government to the Tibetans in exile.
